EMB and Institute of Global Environment Strategies (IGES) conducted a Consultative Forum on Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM)

Environmental Management Bureau, EMB in partnership with the Institute for Global Environment Strategies held a consultative forum to formally introduce the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) in the country which is a bilateral cooperation on carbon markets.  It is envisioned that a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) will be signed between the Philippines and the Japanese government. This was thoroughly discussed with the Japanese government during the Climate Change Conference in Paris last December 2015.

The objectives of this forum are to introduce the JCM as agreed by both governments, to present finance opportunities under the JCM, to present the sets of requirements to join JCM and to provide examples of JCM projects in other partner countries.

SPIK was represented by Ms. Cynthia Reyes and Ms. Arlene Villanueva in the said forum held last February 2, 2016 at the Air Quality Management Training Center, DENR Compound, Quezon City.EMB in partnership with the Institute for Global Environment Strategies held a consultative forum to formally introduce the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) in the country which is a bilateral cooperation on carbon markets.
