The annual meeting of AMEICC Working Group on Chemical Industry (WG-CI) was held in Bali, Indonesia last July 18-19, 2019. It was participated by government and industry representatives from the ASEAN Member States, namely; Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

In the 24th AMEICC Meeting, each member states reported on the current status of chemical industry and status of chemical industry and challenges in implementing responsible care as well as chemical safety management policies in ASEAN.  The status of plastic waste management in Japan, ASEAN and international landscape was also reported.

The output of AJCSD discussion was also presented by a representative from NITE while a representative from the Singapore Chemical Industry Council (SCIC) reported on the current status of the ASEAN Regulatory Cooperation Project (ARCP).
