25th APEC Chemical Dialogue

SPIK participated in the 25th APEC Chemical Dialogue which was conducted on November 5 and 6, 2020.  The Meeting was hosted by the Malaysian Government. With the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event was conducted through online platform.

The Philippines was represented by the government and industry led by Director Eries Cagatan of the Board of Investments together with Engr. Joel Maleon of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources- Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB), Director Ana Rivera of the Food and Drug Administration, VP Romeo Imperial and Ms. Janet Marcellana of SPIK. The Philippines was represented by the government and industry led by Director Eries Cagatan of  the  Board  of  Investments  together  with

GHS, data exchange, marine debris and sustainability, chemical dialogue regulators and regulatory cooperation and convergence were among the topics discussed during the Meeting. Furthermore, a risk assessment tool was presented by Australia. Furthermore, Philippines was requested to report on Regulatory Up-dates on the 2nd Day, this was presented by SPIK President Gretchen Enarle.
