On November 21, 2024, a meeting occurred between the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers (PIChE) and the Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika (SPIK). Dr. Josie Borja and Dr. Vergel Bungay from PIChE engaged with Engr. Gretchen F. Enarle, Engr. Albert Samuela, and Engr. Arnold Benitez, who serve as Vice Presidents of SPIK, to deliberate on organizing essential webinars and seminars that aim to strengthen the chemical industry in the Philippines.

The conversation primarily centered around the upcoming PIChE Registry webinar as well as the Philippine Chemical Industry Roadmap, which is slated for December 6, 2024. Furthermore, the attendees discussed plans for a GHS webinar and a Responsible Care seminar intended to take place in 2025. These joint initiatives align with the Memorandum of Agreement signed by PIChE and SPIK in June 2024, which seeks to promote professional growth and progress within the industry through collaborative knowledge sharing and resource allocation.
