The 4th Technical Working Group (TWG) assembly on Controlled Chemicals, held at the Board of Investment (BOI) in Makati City, was pivotal in advancing the regulatory framework for these substances. Chaired by BOI Acting Director Ronaldo DC Buluran, the gathering convened representatives from the PNP-FEO, Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika (SPIK), and the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines (ICP). Their collaborative efforts focused on finalizing the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) for controlled chemicals. This step aims to enhance the oversight and management within the industry, ensuring compliance with safety, security standards and environmental protection, while fostering a conducive business environment. The outcomes of this meeting are eagerly anticipated to set a more robust and responsible chemical sector in the Philippines.
