
24 Apr Updating BOC-PEZA on RA 6969 Chemical Regulations – Fostering Industry-Government Synergy for Growth
The (EMB) conducted a seminar on April 22 to 24, 2025 relative to the latest amendments of rules and regulations on chemicals under Title II of R.A. 6969’s rules that may affect the BOI and the PEZA. The objective of this seminar was to encourage compliance and promote environmental safety within the chemical industry. Engr. Albert A. Samuela, VP for External Affairs, Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika (SPIK), presented Enhancing Chemical Industry Growth : Title II RA 6969 and BOC-PEZA alignment that featured the priorities in the Philippine Chemical Industry Roadmap and the issues and challenges of the chemical industry.
The seminar reinforced the importance of industry-government open conversations around issues and concerns. By blending forces, the seminar tried to bring about a streamlining of regulation to help maintain the chemical industry at the forefront while also contributing to the protection of environment.
The three-day proceedings offered an opportunity for stakeholders to share information, exchange experiences, and identify best practices to be taken over in producing guidelines in practice. This is a clear indication of the EMB’s dedication to promoting a favorable business climate that adheres to global benchmarks and sustainable development objectives.
