The ASEAN Regulatory Cooperation Platform (ARCP) kicked off its year with a successful online mini webinar on May 3, 2024. The webinar focused on two key topics: Responsible Care® Product Safety and Security and Customs Good Practices. Mr. Dan Rozniack from the American Chemistry Council (ACC) presented on Responsible Care®, emphasizing the importance of product safety and security in the chemical industry. Additionally, a Singapore Customs Officer shared insights on Customs Good Practices, highlighting effective strategies for managing chemical imports and exports.

Moreover, Mr. Gil Perez updated attendees on the latest developments in the New Substance Notification Guidance Manual, shedding light on the regulatory framework designed to ensure the safe introduction of new substances into the market. This information is vital for stakeholders to stay informed and comply with the evolving regulatory landscape.

The event drew the attention of over 100 participants, including esteemed officers from SPIK and members of the Responsible Care Council. Their attendance demonstrates a strong commitment towards enhancing chemical safety and security within the ASEAN region.  The online mini webinar served as an invaluable platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration, fostering a greater understanding of best practices and regulatory updates among chemical industry professionals within the ASEAN region. It exemplified ARCP’s dedication to facilitating cooperation and driving continuous improvement in chemical regulations across ASEAN member countries.
