26 Aug FDA’s “Kapihan at Talakayan” Forum Highlights Inclusive Governance and Digital Progress
In line with its commitment to fostering inclusive policymaking and collaborative governance, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) successfully conducted its “Kapihan at Talakayan” forum on August 26, 2026. The event was instrumental in promoting open dialogue between regulators and industry stakeholders to advance consumer safety and streamline regulatory processes.
The forum opened with a warm welcome from Engr. Ana Trinidad Rivera, Director of the Center for Cosmetics and Household Urban Hazardous Substances Regulation and Research (CCHUHSRR). Throughout the panel discussions, representatives from various industries actively engaged with FDA directors to clarify complex regulatory provisions. This engagement enabled businesses to better align their commercial practices with national safety mandates.

A focal point of the discussions was the FDA’s ongoing efforts to accelerate digital transformation and reduce administrative bottlenecks by leveraging the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) frameworks. Additionally, the agency reiterated its strict commitment to enforcing quality control standards across consumer goods, ensuring that products in the market meet the highest safety and quality benchmarks.

The event highlighted the FDA’s continuous transition toward a more responsive, transparent, and digitally optimized regulatory environment that balances robust consumer protection with support for local market growth.
Representing SPIK at the forum was Engr. Aldrich F. Bentilanon, SPIK President, who actively participated in the discussions. SPIK’s involvement underscores its dedication to collaborative regulatory engagement and the promotion of industry compliance.

By bridging the gap between policy implementation and everyday business operations, the FDA, together with industry partners like SPIK, continues to foster a competitive, transparent, and highly compliant product landscape that benefits both consumers and businesses alike.
