The Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika (SPIK) was invited to part of the 37th PackPrintPlas Exhibition at the SMX Convention Center on October 11, 2019. SPIK President Engr. Gretchen Fontejon- Enarle presented the topic on DENR- EMB Compliance on Chemical Management and Hazardous Waste Disposal.

 The EHS 2019 Forum was organized to help the packaging, printing and plastic industry comply with the different environmental regulations through an info session entitled An Introduction to DENR and DOLE Compliance for PPP Related Companies. Invited speakers also include Commissioner Crispian Lao, Vice Chairman of the National Solid Waste Management Commission and representative from Aery Dennison and Geocycle Philippines.

The PPP is one of the major industries within the chemical industry which is considered as the 3rd largest manufacturing sector contributing a significant amount to the national economy.
