Lima Organization of Pollution Control Officers (LOPCO), Inc. requested to have an orientation on the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals.

The workshop was held last June 23, 2016 at Lima Park Hotel in Lipa City, Batangas. It was attended by 20 Pollution Control Officers from various company in the Lima Industrial Park.

Speakers are members of the SPIK Responsible Care Council. Ms. Cynthia Reyes discussed the introduction and overview of GHS, and gave an in depth discussion of Safety Data Sheet and Labels. Ms. Dall Palisoc provided an overview of the physical, health and environmental while gave an in depth discussion of Safety Data Sheet and Labels. The highlight of the seminar was the discussion of the overview of the general rule, requirements and procedures in the Guidance Manual that will take effect in 2016.
