The seminar on Globally Harmonized System on Classification and Labelling of Chemicals was recently held on February 26- 27, 2020 at the Acacia Hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. It was supported by the Japanese Government through the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS) in coordination with the DTI- Board of Investments and SPIK.

The two day workshop was a combination of plenary discussion and workshop. Mr. Shigeki Miyachi of HatoChemi Japan served as the technical expert during the seminar.

Other speakers of the said seminar were Ms. Joy Manzo- Peña for ASEAN implementation of GHS, Ms. Gretchen Fontejon- Enarle for physical hazard, Ms. Priscilla Alice Samonte on health hazard, Ms. Jenny Nuñez on environmental hazards and Ms. Cynthia Reyes for hazard communication tools.

The seminar was attended by 80 participants from the industry and government sector.
