The Joint Foreign Chambers (JFC) of the Philippines organized the Fifth Anniversary Forum of Arangkada Philippines with the theme Arangkada Philippines: A Bolder and More Inclusive Decade on March 1, 2016 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom.

For 2016, the theme Arangkada Philippines: A Bolder and More Inclusive Decade has been selected to focus on the future Philippine economy and identify bold reforms that can over the next decade achieve high, sustained, and inclusive growth. The reforms were discussed within the framework of the Seven Big Winner Sectors, i.e. Agribusiness, IT-Business Process Management, Creative Industries, Infrastructure, Manufacturing and Logistics, Mining, and Tourism, Medical Travel, and Retirement in six panels. Their distinct themes were (1) increasing total annual investment to above the ASEAN-6 average, (2) reducing unemployment and underemployment to the ASEAN-6 average, (3) raising Philippine competitiveness to higher ratings within the ASEAN-6, (4) sharply reducing the poverty of many Filipinos, (5) minimizing bureaucracy and maximizing governance, and (6) sustaining Philippine economic success.

Chief Justice Sereno delivered the keynote address on faster and fairer justice and Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Balisacan spoke about the new “Filipino 2040” plan. Other speakers and panelists included BDO Capital Ed Francisco, PPP Center ED Canilao, PEZA DG de Lima, and COA Chairperson Aguinaldo, among others. The major presidential candidates have been invited.
