ASEAN Engr. Albert Samuela, together with interns from the Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika (SPIK) and Board of Investments (BOI), held an online meeting with Dr. Kathleen Aviso, Dean of the Gokongwei College of Engineering at De La Salle University, on July 8, 2025. The virtual session, conducted via Microsoft Teams, aimed to strategize and gather expert guidance on enhancing industry-academe collaboration for university research projects.

The discussion centered on establishing clear procedures for partnerships before, during, and after collaborative research efforts. Drawing on Dr. Aviso’s extensive expertise in Process Systems Engineering and her advocacy for sustainable industrial systems, the participants sought her advice on streamlining engagement with industry partners and maximizing the real-world impact of academic research.

This initiative reflects the growing recognition of the critical role strong linkages between educational institutions and industries play in driving national development, innovation, and sustainable growth.
