On February 4, 2026 the Responsible Care Leadership Group (RCLG) met for a fruitful online meeting under the leadership of Steven de Regter, Acting Chair at BASF. SPIK also participated to review flagship solutions on enhancing safety and sustainability in the chemical industry. It’s important to have our meeting set the stage for regular updates and joint action.

The majority of the meeting was dedicated to the ARCP update, as members reflected on recent activities and talked about next steps going forward to guarantee continued forward motion.

The ICCA Global Survey on the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) role was also presented to the group, highlighting the need for members to participate by the February 20, 2026 due date. It also stressed the need for active use of the Mutual Assistance Tool among members to encourage cooperation and support with each other in the network.

To move forward, the group talked about the 2026 Spring in-person meeting in Germany, how the logistics will be to enable its members to come from various locations all over, and how we might design new hybrid format meetings that would make them accessible and engaging.
