SPIK and SEIPI Discuss Collaboration for PSECE 2026 Parts Localization

The Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation, Inc. (SEIPI) and SPIK held a virtual meeting on 7 August 2026 to discuss a potential collaboration for the Parts Localization Booth at the Philippine Semiconductor and Electronics Convention and Exhibition (PSECE) 2026.

The meeting was attended by DTI-EMB Assistant Director Atty. Maria Katrina D. Rivera, who shared the Department’s support for the initiative. The discussions also highlighted the establishment of a Business Matching Booth to facilitate linkages between Philippine-based suppliers and companies in the semiconductor and electronics industry.

This initiative forms part of SEIPI’s continuing efforts to strengthen its collaboration with SPIK under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the two organizations. Through this partnership, SEIPI aims to further promote the capabilities and competitiveness of Philippine-based suppliers and identify opportunities for increased participation of the local chemical industry in the semiconductor and electronics value chain.

The proposed collaboration is expected to provide a platform for local suppliers to showcase their products and capabilities, establish business connections, and explore opportunities for parts and materials localization within the Philippine semiconductor and electronics industry.
