SPIK Education, Research and Innovation Committee (SERIC)

  • Promote and support research in the chemical industry through linkages with government and institutions
  • Host education research conferences or summits to showcase innovations of the chemical industry 

National Issues on Trade and Industry Committee (NITIC)

  • Identify priority issues that affect trade, industry and members
  • Prepare position papers in coordination with the Executive Director and the RC Council

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)

  • Oversight of ESG Strategy: Develop, implement, and monitor the organization’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies and goals to ensure alignment with corporate values and stakeholder expectations.
  • Responsible Care Implementation: Ensure adherence to Responsible Care principles by promoting sustainable chemical management, safety, health, and environmental stewardship across operations.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate ESG-related risks, including environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate transparent communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including investors, employees, customers, and regulators, regarding ESG initiatives and performance.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly review ESG performance metrics, ensure accurate reporting in sustainability disclosures, and recommend improvements to achieve continuous progress.

Public Affairs

  • Advance the mission and vision of the organization through promotional materials
  • Advise staff on policy and communications

Ways and Means

  • Raise the revenue through sports activities required to finance projects and advocacies
