The Ease of Doing Business sub-working group of the Philippine Chemical Industry Roadmap held a meeting recently, chaired by Mr. Reynaldo D. Lignes, Acting Director of the Board of Investments- Manufacturing Industries Service (BOI- MIS). The gathering saw representatives from Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika (SPIK), Association of Petrochemical Manufacturers of the Philippines (APMP), Philippine Paint and Coatings Association, Inc. (PPCAI) and BOI- MIS Supervising Specialists Ms. June Villasanta and Ms. Geraldine Buela.

The meeting’s primary focus was to identify specific activities that would help achieve the strategies set in place for regulatory simplification and ease of doing business within the chemical industry. The group discussed potential solutions, shared best practices, and collaborated on ways to streamline processes.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to work together towards creating a more business-friendly environment for the chemical industry in the Philippines. The group set a deadline for the working groups to present their recommendations, with the aim of implementing these changes. It was a productive and engaging discussion, highlighting the collective efforts of industry leaders and government officials to drive the growth and development of the Philippine chemical sector.
