The 1st Meeting of the Sub-Working Group on Industry Promotion (SWG 2) of the Philippine Chemical Industry Roadmap 2023-2028: Enabling Linkages, Sustainability, Safer Materials and Operations, and Productivity was successfully held on May 21, 2024, at the Board of Investments Department of Trade and Industry, Industry and Investment Building.

We would like to express our appreciation to Ms. June Villasanta, Supervising Investment Specialist, for leading the SWG meeting. The active participation of industry representatives from the Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika, Progressive Association of the Philippine Ink Maker Inc., Philippine Paint and Coatings Association, Inc., and Association of Petrochemical Manufacturers of the Philippines (Philippine Petrochemical Industry Association) greatly contributed to the success of this meeting.

The SWG meeting provided a valuable platform for industry stakeholders to discuss and strategize on promoting the Philippine chemical industry and achieving the objectives set forth in the Chemical Industry Roadmap. This platform enables collaboration, facilitates the exchange of ideas and best practices, and fosters stronger linkages within the industry.
