
12 Aug FDA-CCHUHSRR’s “Kapihan at Talakayan with Industry 2025” Fosters Dialogue on HUHS
On August 12, 2025, the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Cosmetics and Household/Urban Hazardous Substances Regulation and Research (FDA-CCUHSRR) held the ” Kapihan at Talakayan with Industry 2025. This meeting provided an important opportunity for the FDA to have meaningful discussions with the Household Urban Hazardous Substances (HUHS) industry.
The key focus of the discussion was to cover multiple areas in this field such as licensing, registration updates, post-marketing surveillance and policy changes. This interactive panel session provided an opportunity for attendees to express their opinions and comments and raise questions about these important regulations, as they impede on the operations and product quality of industry participants.

The discussion was led by FDA-CCHUHSRR Director IV Engr. Ana Trinidad F. Rivera. In attendance were members of the Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika (SPIK), namely Director Aldrich Bentilanon and Director Jose Raquel Santos. The event was anticipated to foster closer working relationships and knowledge sharing with the government and HUHS industry, to strengthen public health and safety standards of the nation.
