The Board of Investments (BOI) Executive Director Maria Corazon Dichosa presided over industry consultations on September 10, 2025, on the proposed amendments to the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Controlled Chemicals. Delegates from Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika (SPIK), led by President Engr. Gretchen F. Enarle, took part in the meetings.

The session focused on a line-by-line review of the draft revisions. Primary goals were to harmonize PNP-FEO licensing processes and to streamline regulatory requirements for chemical manufacturers, dealers, and purchasers. All stakeholders provided technical input to harmonize the regulatory environment with the operating environment and to ensure that simplicity of doing business is in harmony with safety and security.
