
30 Jul Responsible Care (RC) Council Strengthens Industry Stewardship and Capacity Building
The Responsible Care (RC) Council convened virtually on July 30, 2025, gathering key member companies to align on current initiatives and set forward-looking priorities under the RC program, in alignment with Strategy 5 of the Philippine Chemical Industry Roadmap (PCIR). The discussions emphasized strengthening industry compliance, enhancing verification protocols, and fostering continuous improvement in line with Responsible Care principles.
Key updates included upcoming training for RC verifiers, verification processes, and deeper engagement with regulatory agencies such as the PNP-FEO, DDB, and DENR-EMB to support chemical safety and regulatory alignment. The Council also outlined upcoming capacity-building activities such as virtual RC awareness sessions, a coastal cleanup initiative, and other stakeholder engagement efforts designed to reinforce environmental stewardship and industry collaboration.
The meeting reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to Responsible Care through the active participation of member companies and the SPIK Secretariat.
