01 May SPIK Takes Active Role in Responsible Care Leadership Group Conference Call
SPIK, as an active participant in the Responsible Care initiative, attended the 5th Responsible Care Leadership Group (RCLG) conference call held on May 1, 2024. The meeting provided a platform for industry leaders to discuss and collaborate on key issues related to responsible practices in the chemical sector.
During the conference call, Mr. Jeff Kovacs, the RCLG Chairperson, warmly welcomed Mr. Yoshizumi Sasaki as the incoming RCLG Vice-Chairman. Mr. Sasaki’s expertise and leadership will be valuable in driving the Responsible Care initiative forward. Additionally, congratulatory remarks were extended to Mr. Hidehiko Yashima, whose term as a member of the RCLG ends in July. Mr. Yashima’s contributions to the initiative were acknowledged and appreciated.
Furthermore, important updates were shared regarding the results of a climate change-related survey conducted in February 2024. These findings will guide future actions and initiatives to address climate-related challenges within the industry. Another significant update included the timing and process for the launch of a new Key Performance Indicator (KPI) webtool. This tool will assist companies in tracking and measuring their progress in implementing responsible practices.
