
22 May Strengthening Chemical Security in Indonesian Industry: SPIK Shares Insights
The Samahan sa Pilipinas ng Industriyang Kimika (SPIK) was one of the resource speakers in the Webinar on Strengthening Chemical Security Sustainment in Small and Medium Scale Chemical Companies in Indonesia on 22 May 2025. About 30 participants joined the event, which was hosted by U.S. Chemical Security Program and Health Security Partners, and learned about the important role proactive stakeholders can play in creating a secure environment in the regional chemical industry.
The presentation, titled “Responsible Care: Catalyzing Sustainable Growth in the Philippines’ Chemical Industry,” presented by Engr. Gretchen F. Enarle, SPIK President, highlighted the importance of implementing security measures and fostering a culture of safety.

Mr. Daniel Roczniak of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) also graced the event, sharing insights on the successful integration of Responsible Care in the U.S.
The session ended with an interactive “Q&A and open forum” allowing for rich conversation and sharing of best practices. This joint venture reflects an international commitment to improve chemical security and advance sustainable industrial development.”
